How do we operate?
• Understanding of the Concerns and Needs of both Sellers
and Buyers.
Both sellers and buyers have concerns that are unique to a each
property . Our staff understands these concerns and works diligently
to address them as early as possible; many of them have confronted
these concerns in the past, both for themselves and for clients.
We represent the sellers in any transaction, however, in regard
to our reputation and future business, buyers can rest assured they
are taken into consideration in any transaction
Make a phone call and don't get a return call? It happens too often
in business. Regular updates on the progress of a sale are a part
of our business routine. We keep in close contact with our clients
by phone, email and other means, so you know that we are doing our
job.
Clients can be assured that they are being represented in the most
effective manner possible. Weekly contact with clients builds confidence
and keeps closing issues from becoming problems at the last minute
• Integrity: Service is our only product.
Service without integrity is no service at all. You can rely on us
to represent you honestly and fairly. Our reputation for square dealing
is unparalleled. All funds are held in trust until they are distributed
to the parties. The Atlanta Restaurant Exchange Team will represent
all facts known to them concerning a particular property. We will
not shade the truth to promote a sale. We do our best to match an
investor with an appropriate business opportunity. The success of
a new owner is a benefit to everyone concerned, and is the future
of our company! • Attention to Details and Follow Through
The sale or purchase of an exiting or new business is complex and
detailed. We relieve the client of as much of that burden as possible.
Our attorneys are thoroughly versed in the documentation necessary
to promote a quick and smooth closing and to protect the interests
of all parties. Following though and insuring the proper closing and
turnover is an integral part of our service.
We can guide a buyer through the process of purchasing a restaurant.
We start by meeting with you to listen to your ideas, and hear about
your experience.
• Where do I begin when buying a Restaurant?
We begin with an evaluation of your financial situation. Good knowledge
of your financial situation allows us to match you with a business
that you are qualified for in regard to down payment and operating
capital.
Depending on the situation regarding the lease, different landlords
have different requirements. Getting a credit report early in the
game can help you clear up erroneous information, as well as to
define a base to work from when searching for locations. Shopping
centers may have very strict credit standards, while a small business
person who owns property may make their decisions based on meeting
with you and evaluating your business plan. The same holds true
in regard to owner financing. There are usually options for everyone
regardless of their situation.
During this process, a business plan is essential. By this point
in the process, you may have a business plan. If not, we will assist
you in preparing a basic business plan to make sure that your idea
is viable, and to head us in the right direction when it is time
to show properties to you.
We can see if a property works for you by looking at financial projections
which we will assist you in compiling. I have found financing for
some of my own projects while researching my business plans. Talk
to family and friends about your plans, you never know who may want
to back you in your new venture.
We will ask for you to come into our office to meet us, and let
us get to know you. We do not discuss details about any property
over the phone. This is one reason that owners trust Atlanta Restaurant
Exchange with listings, we value confidentiality. You can not identify
our listings by their descriptions. They are intentionally vague
as to the exact location for this reason. (confidentiality).
Based on our conversation and evaluation, we will then sign a confidentiality
agreement and begin disussing your next restaurant!
